The Five freedoms for elephants

We provide our elephants with fresh, nutritious food and clean water every day to meet their physical and nutritional needs.

Our elephants live in a natural, spacious environment with plenty of shade, mud baths, and access to roam freely. We ensure they are comfortable and safe at all times.

Regular health check-ups, veterinary care, and attentive monitoring ensure that our elephants remain healthy and receive immediate care when needed.

At Samui Elephant Home, elephants can interact with one another, explore their environment, and engage in activities like foraging, playing, and bathing—behaviors they would exhibit in the wild.

We create a peaceful and stress-free environment by promoting kind and respectful interactions between our elephants, mahouts, and visitors. We never use harmful practices or tools.

Environmental Responsibility (E)

We prioritize the conservation of the natural environment and sustainable practices in every aspect of our operations.

Initiatives include:

• Wildlife Conservation: Providing a sanctuary for rescued elephants where they can live freely in their natural habitat.
